Watch Michael Morpurgo's Tales from Shakespeare, read and performed by RSC actors. Available on demand for schools
Based on Michael Morpurgo's new book Tales from Shakespeare, these special events for schools introduce students to some of Shakespeare's best-loved plays including Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest. The stories are told by both Michael himself and members of our acting company and can be accessed here.
New plays will be added throughout January and February, releasing at 10am each Friday and will be available for three months.
New Literacy resources, created to support each of the tales will be available from February 2021. They can be accessed on our Shakespeare and Literacy Resources page.
The following supporting resources will also help students prepare to watch Tales from Shakespeare and offer some ideas for follow up work.
Home Learning with the RSC - a catalogue of materials and ideas for those home schooling or setting work to be completed remotely
The Shakespeare Learning Zone - a website including short quizzes and interactive introductions to Shakespeare's plays
Activity Toolkits - a selection of toolkits, offering short 15 minute activities designed to be completed by Primary and Secondary pupils at home
