1-2 February 2013
Clore Learning Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon
Ideal for: Drama, Performing Arts and English teachers looking to extend and challenge their students.
This course gives you an immersive experience in the Text and Voice work that is a key part of the RSC's artistic work with actors as they go through the process of understanding and owning Shakespeare's language.
Over the course of the two days you will explore the complexities of the language physically and vocally, reading the full score of the text to uncover the practical help offered to the actor by the structures, sounds, rhythms and rhetoric embedded throughout the plays.
The work will refresh your ideas and extend your repertoire of teaching approaches when working with young people.
The course will be led by Alison Bomber, Senior Text and Voice coach at the RSC for seven years, and other members of our Voice and Movement departments.
Cost: £275 (£250 RSC Education Members)
This cost includes a ticket to the evening production of The Winter's Tale on Friday 1 February 2013.
