LPN Alumni training day, 26 January 2013
On Sat 26 January, thirteen LPN alumni travelled to Stratford to see The Winter's Tale at the RST and take part in a day's workshop with RSC lead practitioner, Miles Tandy. Hub and cluster schools were represented from every LPN cohort from 2006 to 2010.
For many, the event was an opportunity to reconnect with the RSC's rehearsal room approaches and to experience the work with a group of other teachers who are passionate about the teaching of Shakespeare. They were also introduced to Teaching Shakespeare, our online learning platform developed in partnership with Warwick University.
During the day RSC staff heard about the various Shakespeare activities that these teachers are continuing to pioneer in their schools. Thank you to all those who took part with such enthusiasm and who continue to develop exciting Shakespeare teaching in their schools.
We will be running another Alumni opportunity in the summer. If you have any ideas about what would be of support to you and teachers in your cluster, please drop Fiona a note at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01789 272522.
