Day Two - Automation

Our second day at the Taste of Theatre, automation was much more interesting and thrilling than any of us could have possibly imagined.

We were taken to the main theatre which I can honestly say takes our breath away each time we step out onto the magical set.

Automation helped us explore a side of theatre we had not realized we had a chance to see.

As a child each one of us always wanted to fly. Seeing the work done by Automation gave us an option in the future to turn that fantasy into a reality.

We were enticed straight away by the dramatic entrance of a member of the Automation team coming down in front of our eyes on a swing! We saw how they make effects that intrigue us so much when we see a production.

Unfortunately my fear of heights might affect the join automation team as my knees started shaking and I gripped onto another of my team members when walking over a steel grid!

With holes in the floor and a 15 metre drop beneath me, it was a scary but still incredibly thrilling experience. Automation opened up a whole new career choice in the theatre!
