Support for our Learning and Performance Network

The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation is supporting our Learning and Performance Network (LPN) with a grant of £81,000.

The award is part of the Foundation's support of UK-wide arts and training initiatives that provide young people with opportunities to take part in the arts.

The LPN is a long term partnership with schools, communities and theatres across England, aiming to change the way young people experience Shakespeare's work.

We now work with 10 partner theatres across the country from Newcastle upon Tyne's Theatre Royal to the Hall For Cornwall in Truro, and more than 400 schools.

The schools and young people involved have little access to Shakespeare and cultural provision in their area and being part of the Network opens up engaging ways to learn about Shakespeare as well as a chance to see our Young Person's Shakespeare on tour in their community.

Teachers receive in-depth training in active approaches to teaching Shakespeare, with an opportunity to gain a Postgraduate Certificate in the Teaching and Learning of Shakespeare, awarded by the University of Warwick.
