Dance students put on pre-theatre performance

Students from Stratford-upon-Avon College are using our theatre as a canvas for a performance.

The dance is inspired by Shakespeare's sonnets and the architecture of the theatre buildings.

Working with our Head of Movement Struan Leslie, the first year BTEC Level 3 Dance students have devised a unique, site-specific routine that uses the floors, pillars, staircases and walls of the theatre's front of house areas.

Entitled 'Enviro-Dance', the performances will act as pre-show entertainment in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre on Thursday 13 June (11:30am and 6pm) and Friday 14 June (6pm).
