Cast change for RSC Roundhouse season

Following Kathryn Hunter's resignation from the current long ensemble, the Fool in King Lear will now be played by Sophie Russell and Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra by Katy Stephens, both of whom have understudied the roles and are fully rehearsed.

Notes to editors:

1. The press night for King Lear, directed by RSC Associate Director, David Farr, is 7pm Tuesday 25 January at the Roundhouse. After its London run it transfers into the newly reopened Royal Shakespeare Theatre from 23 February - 2 April 2011 to play in repertoire with Romeo and Juliet, directed by RSC Associate Director, Rupert Goold.

2. Antony and Cleopatra transfers into the Swan Theatre from 3 - 23 March 2011.

4. New production images for King Lear will be available from www.epo-online.com from the afternoon of Monday 24 January.
