The Tempest - William Shakespeare
In association with The Baxter Theatre Centre
An island. A man and his daughter stranded. He enslaves the sole inhabitant of the island and masters its magic force. Then his enemies are shipwrecked on the island...
Young People's Shakespeare is a programme of work intended to make available to a broader audience the experience of seeing a live, innovative production of a Shakespeare text.
Director Janice Honeyman will work with members of The Tempest company to create a distilled version of the play which is presented with a pre-performance workshop where the audience will help bring Prospero's island to life.
A perfect introduction to Shakespeare for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 pupils, or for family audiences.
The performances begin at 1pm including the pre-performance workshop.
The Tempest YPS runs at The Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon from 10 - 11 March 2009.

The Tempest YPS will run for two performances only.
