Two Roses for Richard III

In December 2011, Companhia Bufomecânica constructed a temporary performance space in the grounds of the Aquivo Nacional in Rio de Janeiro. It enabled them to work in and explore a thrust configuration similar to The Courtyard Theatre.

They used the structure to develop the aerial elements which form a key part of their work and the production and then finally they performed the show Penso Ver O Que Escuto in December.

They then went back into rehearsals and developed the ideas further into Two Roses for Richard III which will premiere at The Courtyard Theatre on 7 May.
