The RSC Key

Ages 16-25? Interested in writing an article for the RSC website?

Romeo and Juliet in Baghdad is an adaptation of Shakespeare's greatest love story set in modern day Baghdad. Sectarian strife between Sunni and Shia, ignited and fuelled from outside, has left the population exhausted by a cycle of violence and revenge.

If you are 16-25, not only do you get £5 tickets to all RSC shows and discounts with The RSC Key... but you can also write regular articles and reviews for The RSC Key Blog.

We would like members of The RSC Key to write an article about why you think Shakespeare's stories are still relevant today. Whether you would like to discuss one play in particular or look at the complete works as a whole, we want to hear from you.

Your article should be no more than 500 words. Articles will then be uploaded to the RSC website and publicised on the RSC website.

To submit an article please email with the subject line – Romeo and Juliet in Baghdad Article Submission.

Unfortunately we cannot publish all articles but will try our best to upload as many as possible.

We look forward to reading your articles soon!
