Pocket Dream

Riverside Drama Company perform Pocket Dream

The Swan Theatre

Sunday 15 July, 4pm

Pocket Dream performed by Riverside Drama Company
Written by Elly Brewer and Sandi Toksvig

Tickets cost £5

The Henry Irving Strolling Players are touring their latest production of A Midsummer's Night Dream.  However, on this particular performance the director and all the cast, bar two, are nowhere to be found.  What follows is the Stage Manager's desperate attempts to cobble together a performance using just 6 people (including the stage hand, the Front of House Manager and a PE teacher) to play 18 parts.   Each 'performer' must play multiple roles with whatever costumes they can find, and off we go for confusion, bravado, romance and fun.

About Riverside Players

Riverside Drama Company is based in Long Eaton, just outside Nottingham.  They formed in 1992, and are an active amateur group of about 25 members. Presenting three productions a year at the Duchess Theatre in Long Eaton, they give their members plenty of opportunity to be involved with all aspects of amateur theatre from directing to acting, stage management, set design and box office. The company aims to produce an enjoyable, varied and interesting selection of plays.

Why not make the most of your day and book on to a half day workshops at the Clore Learning Centre. For just £15 you can see all four performances and work with an RSC practitioner on either voice, movement, stage combat or directing. Find out more about the workshops available.
