Ulfah Arts works with young people and women from disadvantaged backgrounds using arts and media as tools of social empowerment. It delivers radio, film, TV and performing arts projects to engage diverse social groups of young people and women as artists, media producers and audience members.
The programmes support and nurture the development of their participants' professional and creative aptitudes through skills oriented workshops, one-to-one mentoring and practical experience in real work environments. Current projects include youth-led radio station Radio Youthology, Birmingham Active citizens in partnership with British council and youth-led online TV station YouthTelevision.TV in partnership with Media Trust and John Muir Trust.
This promo has been produced for the RSC by YouthTelevision.TV volunteers. The young people were given access to rehearsals and time with the cast of Much Ado About Nothing which included interviews with Director Iqbal Khan, Meera Syal and Paul Bhattacharjee.
