About the story

'To me she's married, not unto my clothes'

A group of actors find an old house.  In the middle of an abandoned room are trunks and cases.  The actors rifle through the trunks and find clothes from throughout the history of the house. Using the things they find, they weave a story of two outsiders, Kate and Petruchio.

Petruchio's father has recently died and he is looking to find his match in Padua.  Kate, the eldest daughter of Madame Baptista, must find a husband soon or her sister Bianca may never marry.

Lots of people want Bianca, but only Petruchio is ready to take on Kate. As Bianca's admirers vie for her affection, Kate and Petruchio embark on a mad quest to see how far the other will go in love.
