The Gallery, Royal Shakespeare Theatre
Transformations looks at how the best of the existing Art Deco building sits alongside bold new architectural features, how the proscenium arch auditorium was turned into a thrust stage, why particular finishes, materials and fabrics were chosen and what skills were involved in the complex construction of the new theatre on the footprint of the original.
Major aspects of the building transformation are explained by the team that built and designed it.
Entrance to the exhibition is free. The exhibition is open daily from 9am (Sunday 10am) until 3 April.
