About The King's Troupe
Based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, The King's Troupe are an inter-generational theatre group specialising in the performance of Shakespeare.
Children and adults aged 5 to 65 work together to keep alive a great theatrical tradition and also explore - through the play - the nature of the human condition as Shakespeare saw it and they interpret it.
The collective inter-generational response produces a rich, vibrant and organic production. There are no auditions and the members enjoy working collectively together, bringing in new members for new productions and finding new ways to tell Shakespeare's great stories.
