Throughout the summer holidays, relax on our Bancroft Terrace and enjoy the summer weather with our fun seaside-themed activities for all the family. On Sundays (and the odd Saturday), buy an ice lolly or treat yourself to an ice cream sundae as you soak up live music, Punch and Judy shows and much more. All activities are free and most are suitable for all ages.

Funny faces board and drop in activities
Pose as a Shakespeare character with your friends at our silly faces board. Act out scenes from a Shakespeare play or take a chance with our Shakespeare Fortune's Wheel activity for all ages.

A one-man musical show drawing on traditional children's songs from across the world.

Up Against The Wall: Live Drawing Display
Watch artist Scott Walker create a giant cartoon seaside scene, ready to be coloured-in the next day.

Up Against The Wall: Giant Colouring Workshop
With artist Scott Walker on hand to guide you, try out special paint pens to add your own colours and patterns to our giant seaside themed mural filled with fantastic creatures. Suitable for all ages.
Sunday 2 August, drop in 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5pm
Talking Birds' Whale
Enter the jaws of a giant silver whale to be serenaded by a lovesick submariner - or a cat-loving sailor - and you receive a gift from the sea. A three-minute journey for one adventurer at a time (or two if you're shy). Prepare to dive… Suitable for all ages. Wheelchair accessible.
Sunday 9 August, drop in 12pm - 4.30pm
See Balloonatic's team of performing balloon modellers create brightly coloured sculptures of all shapes and sizes. If you're lucky, you might get an incredible hat, giant costume or toy to take home with you. Suitable for all ages.

Punch and Judy
'Professor' Clive Chandler is recognised as one of England's leading performers of Punch & Judy. He presents the age-old drama in the context of the modern day and demonstrates the strength of a living tradition that stretches back more than 300 years. Suitable for all ages.
Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August, drop in 10am - 5pm
Pavement Art Workshop
Watch a giant chalk scene take shape on the terrace, and get involved by giving it your own artistic flourish. Artists Jade Wasling and Liz Dorton will help you create a seaside scene fit for Stratford-upon-Avon. Suitable for all ages.

The Wind and The Sun by Tell Tale Hearts and In Situ Circus Theatre
Two rival siblings battle the elements in a competition to prove their strength. This turbulent struggle of Sun v Wind will have you vowing for your favourite character to out shine the other. You might be asked to help create the different weather conditions needed for the show because, as everyone knows, you can't always trust the British weather.
Based on the original fable by Aesop, this two person show celebrates the good old British weather and features juggling and acrobatics. Suitable for all ages.
Sunday 6 September, drop in 11am - 5pm, 20 minute performances throughout the day
Caravania! by The Bone Ensemble
Come and visit Caravania, a micro-nation formed of a real-life caravan and its awning.
In Upper Caravania (the caravan), you can take a 20 minute interactive tour where you'll play on the beach, journey into space and pay a trip to the chemical loo – which turns everything blue! Suitable for ages 5-11. Not wheelchair accessible.
In Lower Caravania (the awning), a range of fun activities are available for all ages. You can colour in your own caravan, design your own country and laws, and vote on important matters of state. Wheelchair accessible.
