Set in Verona during the Renaissance, Romeo and Juliet tells a story of love strong enough to die for. When Romeo and his friends gate-crash a masked ball of their family's most hated enemy he falls in love with Juliet.
From this moment they unknowingly begin an unstoppable chain reaction that will lead to passion, defiance, murder, suicide and the greatest love story ever told.
Ending Romeo and Juliet's triumphant runs in London and Eastbourne, Off West End nominated Director, Amber Elliott, returns to The Dell this summer after her successful production of Macbeth in 2013 with Titian Rep.
Romeo and Juliet is directed by Amber Elliott and produced by fledgling production company, Birdiedoes. They collaborate with like-minded people with a wealth of experience in their fields, to create work of a high standard in theatre, film and design.
Over the last few years company director, Amber Elliott has been gaining recognition for her work and her production of The Winter's Tale at Christmas 2011 was nominated for an Off West End Award for Direction.
After bringing Macbeth to The Dell in 2013, Amber was delighted to be asked back again with Shakespeare's greatest love story.
