David Farr's production played in the Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon from April to October 2009. It was revived in 2011 for the Lincoln Center Festival, New York.

Greg Hicks took the role of the tortured Leontes and Kelly Hunter his wronged wife, Hermione, in this production, directed by David Farr.

Designed by Jon Bausor, the drama played out across a floor smothered with the leaves of upturned books.
