Last week the removal of the old stage lift steelwork was completed as was the demolition of the riverside dressing room block. The total number of bricks reclaimed was 6,000. They will be used for restoration work elsewhere.
In the auditorium area, the last elements of demolition adjacent to the Fountain Staircase and balcony stair continue and preparations for the piling contract are nearing completion. The installation of temporary supports within the fly tower basement have begun.
The flood compensation works in The Dell are also continuing.
