Over 480 people joined us at Transforming Our Theatres – the Next Stage, which took place on the weekend of the Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations. Executive Director, Vikki Heywood was joined on stage by Peter Wilson, Project Director to update people on the current progress of the transformation and to show the latest photographs from the site.
Actors Katy Stephens and Jimmy Tucker, who were in the final preparations for As You Like It, along with Assistant Director, Michael Fentiman discussed their experience of directing and working on The Courtyard Theatre stage and their excitement about the new Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The audience were also treated to an insight into the world of our theatre consultants, Charcoalblue, when Andy Hayles demonstrated the benefits of a thrust stage.
