Writing Project with Michael Morpurgo
3rd July 2014 (2- 3.15pm)
Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford upon Avon
As part of the 450th Birthday celebrations of Shakespeare's birth, the RSC in collaboration with Michael Morpurgo have created a Writing Project that will celebrate young people's experiences of growing up in and around Stratford-upon-Avon. Through exploring Shakespeare's language and the students' own experiences they will generate stories, poems and other creative writing for a performance on stage by members of the RSC company on 3 July 2014 in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Please contact Michele Cottiss on 01789 272283 if you would like a free ticket to attend this unique performance.
This project is supported by Stratford Town Trust.
Saturday 16th August 2014
Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon
Join us on Saturday 16th August for a full day of discovery, as we re-open the doors of the Courtyard. This year we are excited to offer a day of interactive workshops exploring the work we do with our Open Stages partnership companies. This project celebrates extraordinary performances by ordinary people, and is part of the RSC's commitment to transforming the relationship between amateur and professional theatres. We will be sharing some of the processes, techniques and ideas of professional theatre making in a series of workshops and master classes, as well as a presentation by RSC Open Stages Producer, Ian Wainwright.
*Please watch out for your invitation which will be sent via post in the coming weeks.*
