Introducing out Student Ambassadors for 2012-13
Our new ambassadors are current students at Warwick, Birmingham, Oxford and Oxford Brookes.
Throughout the year they will be a one-stop-shop for all your RSC needs at university, organising special events, coach trips, and spreading up to date information around campus.
Watch out for them at freshers' fairs, and come and say 'hello' or drop them an email.
Lucy Blackall – Oxford Brookes
I'm studying Film and became an ambassador because I love watching plays and films, it's a brilliant way to relax after a hectic day of lectures! My favourite play is A Midsummer Night's Dream. It keeps it allure and seems funnier and different at every performance.
Kathy Keown – Oxford
I'm studying for a Masters in English at Oxford. I'm really excited to introduce people to some new productions and innovative takes on Shakespeare's works. My favourites are Titus Andronicus, Richard III and Macbeth - a slightly strange selection (so I'm told), but I think they're a lot of fun!
Ellen Gould – Oxford
I'm Ellen, I'm from London and I'm studying Spanish at Oxford University. I can't wait to start working with the RSC and sharing my passion for Shakespeare. My favourite quote is from Julius Caesar: 'The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars / But in ourselves, that we are underlings.'
Eve Parker - Birmingham
I am an MA Shakespeare and Theatre student at the University of Birmingham. I (clearly) love Shakespeare and could never pick a favourite but if you pushed me I'd say The Taming of the Shrew! I'm excited to be an ambassador for the RSC in order to let students know how cheap and easy visiting can be!
Ellie Smallwood – Birmingham
I'm an English Lit finalist. My life thus far has been Shakespeare-infused, and the RSC's ambassador scheme takes me to the next level of geekdom. My favourite play is Much Ado, the RSC's 2006 production being one of the best I've seen. Plus Beatrice is pretty sassy. I can't wait to hear from you!
Lottie Clitherow – Warwick
I'm an English and Theatre student. I became an ambassador because I want to help students make the most of having the RSC on our doorstep. Whether you can quote Prospero in your sleep, or you've never set foot in Stratford, if you're interested in what the RSC has to offer, I'm your girl!
Becky Knott – Warwick
I'm just going into my second year of studying History of Art. I love how close the RSC is to Warwick and am really excited about being a student ambassador. Much Ado About Nothing has to be my favourite Shakespeare, I've seen it so many times and it never fails to disappoint!
