Julius Caesar in the US
"The blood runs warm in the Royal Shakespeare Company's vibrant production of Julius Caesar"
The New York Times
Gregory Doran's acclaimed production of Julius Caesar, set in contemporary Africa, had its US premiere at BAM's Harvey Theater in Brooklyn, where it played from 10 to 28 April 2013. It then transferred to the Southern Theatre in Columbus, Ohio, playing 1 to 5 May 2013.
The production played in Stratford-upon-Avon before embarking on a UK tour, and received a rapturous reception in Moscow in November 2012. It is the first RSC production to be seen in the US under a new, major expansion of our initial three-year collaboration with The Ohio State University. This collaboration will include future performances and a continuation of the existing education programme, which will expand its reach in the US.
