Get online for the RSC's Virtual Open Day
26 August 2008
On Sunday 31 August, the Royal Shakespeare Company will open its doors once again to the public for its annual Open Day in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The Open Day features an exciting and varied line-up of free and paid-for events aimed at fans of the Bard and theatre-lovers of all ages, and is the perfect opportunity to find out more about one of the most well-known theatre companies in the world.
For those who can’t make it to Stratford, the RSC is inviting people to join the company online for the Virtual Open Day at www.rsc.org.uk/openday.
Throughout the day, the site will be updated with photos and videos giving a flavour of Open Day action. So everyone, whether they are in Stratford or South Africa, can be part of an RSC’s prop and scenery workshop tour, or watch an extract from a stage fighting demonstration.
Those who are in Stratford for the annual event can contribute their pictures and videos to the Virtual Open Day site. Full details of how to get involved will be available at www.rsc.org.uk/openday from this Thursday (28 August).
