What's on at the Dell

During the summer month weekends, the Royal Shakespeare Company's outdoor theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, The Dell, will play host to a range of lively student and non-professional productions. Performances kick off on Saturday 28 June, and continue until Sunday 24 August.
The Dell is situated in the Theatre Gardens on Southern Lane, just across the road from The Courtyard Theatre.
Entrance is free, and blankets are available for members of the public to sit on. Members of the public can find out more at www.rsc.org.uk/thedell
Mark Ball, RSC Head of Events and Exhibitions said: “We're delighted that more companies than ever before applied to take part in The Dell, which provides an opportunity to see some of tomorrow's talent in the lovely setting of our theatre gardens. Stagecoach Leamington Spa and Warwick students perform Romeo and Juliet, a story of love, death and other cool stuff adapted by Geoff Bamber. The cast of 37, all aged between 6 and 16, have taken this 30 minute adaption and produced a hilariously funny, Monty Python styled take on the Shakespeare classic.

Spongecake Theatre Company presents an abridged version of As You Like It, previously performed in Newcastle at The Round theatre and most recently at the Cavern Club in Liverpool as part of the Capital of Culture 08 celebrations. The company is made up of current students and set up by recent graduates of Northumbria University Performing Arts Division.
