Royal Shakespeare Company in London in 2008
14 January 2008
'The RSC can be found across London with a season of work that demonstrates the breadth of what we do, from Shakespeare through to new plays, performed in large spaces and intimate ones.'
Michael Boyd, Artistic Director, Royal Shakespeare Company
RSC in London: January – May 2008
Following on from successful runs of King Lear and The Seagull at the New London Theatre, and Anthony Neilson’s new play, God In Ruins at the Soho Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company presents two new plays (Leo Butler’s I’ll Be The Devil and Roy Williams’ Days Of Significance) at the Tricycle Theatre, and transfers The Histories, its acclaimed eight play staging of nearly 100 years of English history, to the Roundhouse in April. Dominic Cooke’s successful production of Malorie Blackman’s Noughts & Crosses plays the Hackney Empire as part of a 6 week UK tour at the beginning of April.
