Catherine Tate makes welcome return to the RSC

On Sunday 27 May, multi award-winning actress, Catherine Tate, makes a welcome return to the Royal Shakespeare Company as part of a brand new series of talks entitled Shakespeare and Me.
Taking a look at the impact of Shakespeare on the lives and work of some of the UK’s best known actors, writers and personalities, Tate opens this fascinating series of in conversation talks with her unique take on the bard.
Tate who played Smeraldina in the RSC’s A Servant to Two Masters in 2000 has a string of stage and screen credits to her name including The Way of the World at the National Theatre, ITV’s Bad Mother’s Handbook, the films Starter For Ten and 66, and of course her eponymous ground-breaking BBC series, The Catherine Tate Show.
Now as part of the RSC’s new series of events, hear one of the country's most exciting and talented actresses in conversation with the RSC's Fiona Lindsay at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon on Sunday 27 May between 1 and 2pm.
Celebrated for her work as both a dramatic and comedy actor, Ms Tate has been hailed as "one of the country's subtle actresses...Victoria Wood and Julie Walters in one body" (The Independent).
