The RSC Collection and Archive
http://www.rsc.org.uk
The RSC Collection is the Royal Shakespeare Company's museum of paintings, costumes, sculpture and memorabilia. It was started in the 1880s and includes a wide variety of materials from the 17th century to the present day. Many of these objects and pictures are rarely seen. The RSC Archives include production records of all types from photographic records to prompt books with stage directions covering productions from 1879 to the present. They are cared for by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and are available for consultation at the Shakespeare Centre Library.

The Big Lottery Fund
http://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk
This project has been carried out with funds from the Big Lottery
Fund. The Fund's £50 million UK-wide digitisation programme is designed to
bring the learning material and resources currently contained in galleries,
libraries, museums and universities directly into homes and communities. The
Fund, the largest of the National Lottery good cause distributors, has
awarded grants to 150 organisations across the UK, large and small, who are
converting a huge variety of material into digital format. The range of
material being digitised includes archaeology, maritime, architecture, fine
art, social and oral history.
