One of the most important motivations for being a member is to keep up to date with the latest news at the RSC. Through their regular Newsletters members hear first about new productions, events such as Director’s Talks, plus special offers and insights into the backstage workings of the company. Members’ priority booking also becomes all too important when booking seats for a popular production. All of this builds a closer relationship and instils a greater enjoyment of all the RSC has to offer.
‘As an Associate Member I have enjoyed the benefit of advance booking to ensure that I get excellent seats to the performances I want to see, when I want to see them. The newsletters and literature also provide interesting information and an opportunity to pre plan diaries. I will be upgrading to Full Membership next year to get even better benefits’

The RSC Membership scheme was set up in 1964 as the Royal Shakespeare Theatre Club and membership cost 12/6. We have many long-standing members who have been with us for over 30 years and they have established a dedicated relationship with the theatre, enjoy booking particular seats and know the 'front of house' staff well.
RSC Members live across the UK, from Edinburgh to Penzance. Many members also live within the local area, 23% of RSC Members live in the West Midlands and of these, 9% actually live in Stratford-upon-Avon.
RSC Members come from nearly 40 countries, from Australia to Zimbabwe, and 41% of our overseas members come from the USA.
