As part of the Complete Works Festival, RSC Learning will lead a campaign to extend and enrich current practice in the teaching and learning of Shakespeare.
Teaching Shakespeare - Time for Change
The Campaign’s opening symposium considers the evidence for adapting theatre methods to the teaching of Shakespeare in the classroom. A series of conferences for teachers widens this discussion and explores practical approaches to Shakespeare. A plenary event describes the discoveries and conclusions of the Campaign and sets out an action plan for building on these.
The ambition of the Campaign is to discuss, discover and share the most effective ways available of engaging young people with Shakespeare’s plays.
