Brothers, sisters, masters and servants find themselves confused, baffled and bewildered by the events of a single day in Shakespeare's earliest comedy.


The Comedy of Errors is directed by Nancy Meckler. She previously directed House of Desires, part of the Spanish Golden Age season for the RSC. Her film credits include Sister My Sister with Julie Walters and Joely Richardson (1994) and Alive and Kicking with Antony Sher (1996). Her many credits for Shared Experience include Mother Courage (2000), Mill on the Floss (2001) and A Passage to India (2002). She also recently directed Antony Sher in his play ID for the Almeida.


The Comedy of Errors runs in repertoire at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon from the 15 July - October 2005.
