RSC Advisory Council US
The Royal Shakespeare Company Advisory Council US continues the long history of American support for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Its purpose is to provide American support for the core objectives of the Royal Shakespeare Company, including the development of its work in Stratford-upon-Avon and productions in the United States. It aims to:
- Promote the programs of the RSC in the United States
- Raise funds to support the core objectives of the RSC
- Encourage participation in RSC productions in the US and the UK
- Cultivate new volunteers and supporters
Special benefits are afforded to RSC Advisory Council US members, including:
- Premiere access to purchase tickets for RSC productions in the US and the UK
- Invitations to attend opening night receptions during US residencies
- Access to RSC leadership, company members, and alumni
- Opportunities to provide hospitality to RSC company members during their stay in the US
- Special briefings on RSC productions and education programs
- Invitations to educational programs during the residencies
- An opportunity to be a member of the American delegation to the 2012 World Shakespeare Festival in the United Kingdom, part of the 2012 Cultural Olympics.
