Artist Development Programme
- In 2009/10 we helped shape the careers of 118 actors in 5 RSC acting companies
Each Ensemble is underpinned by the Artist Development Programme; a core body of work that gifts artists with the opportunity to progress through diverse training. We offer cross-company workshops in voice, verse, movement and fight skills, as well as production-specific seminars ranging from puppetry and mask work to academic lectures on socio-political context.
Through your support the ADP has grown beyond our initial ambitions and now extends training and development resources out to the wider profession and industry. We work with students, teachers and actors throughout the country.
In the face of national arts funding cuts and tighter budgets we are adamant that the work of the ADP cannot be lost. Our work continues to feed into the legacy of theatre throughout the country and internationally. We recognise our role as a leading voice in the theatrical tradition and the importance of sharing the knowledge and expertise we are so fortunate to have access to.
