Who's this? Greg Hicks plays Macbeth.

Context: The tragic heroes suffer from a lack of status. Hamlet and Macbeth do not inherit the crown they expected. King Lear gives his crown away. Othello has military power but is uncertain of social status as a black man.

They make bad choices: King Lear recognises and regrets his at the end of the play; Hamlet finds it hard to make any decisions; Macbeth and Othello are persuaded by others. Macbeth goes along with his wife's decisions and has to live with the consequences.
