Puck

Who's this? Jonathan Slinger plays Puck.

This movie is in two sections:
Defining Puck is playing - Hear Oberon on Puck

Context: The Oxford English Dictionary gives the earliest reference to Robin Goodfellow as 1531. He is popular in ballads and plays around Shakespeare's time. He plays pranks and laughs at the frustrations he causes mortals. Sometimes he is Oberon's son. Sometimes more like a brownie he helps with the occasional domestic chore in exchange for a small reward of clothes or food.

Did you know? Ben Jonson brings together Robin Goodfellow, whom he calls 'Puck-Hairy', and Robin Hood in a play he left unfinished, The Sad Shepherd.
