Oberon & Titania

Who's this? Joe Dixon plays Oberon.

This movie is in two sections:
Oberon's feelings is playing - Hear more

Context: It is important for an actor to find the truth of the character he is playing. This is particularly demanding when playing a character that isn't human! It could be difficult for an audience to relate to something so otherworldly so Joe Dixon felt that it was important to find human qualities in Oberon. He wanted to make him accessible so that the audience would be able to sympathise and understand him.

Did you know? Myths and legends are full of disagreements between gods. Often these arguments are worked out through interference in the lives of human beings. This is evident in Ovid's Metamorphoses from which Shakespeare drew many ideas.
