The Two Gentlemen of Verona
The Two Gentlemen of Verona is one of Shakespeare's earliest plays, possibly even his first, written in the early 1590s. The First Folio of 1623 is the only early printed text.
The RSC is staging The Two Gentlemen of Verona in Stratford-upon-Avon until 12 September 2014. You can find out more about the current production and buy tickets here. This production will also be screened live to cinemas on 3 September 2014.
Here you can find a synopsis of the play, information on when The Two Gentlemen of Verona was written and the sources Shakespeare may have used.
Over the coming years the RSC is staging the entire Shakespearean canon on our stages. As those plays are staged, we will be adding more resources to these pages.
