Phillip Breen's 2012 production was billed as 'a tale of not so desperate housewives'.

Shakespeare's comedy unfolded in a modern day setting, described by the Telegraph as 'Windsor-upon-Avon'.

Designed by Max Jones, the dynamic set included a full-size bar wheeled on from the wings and a Citroen 2CV car.

The production featured Desmond Barrit as Falstaff and Anita Dobson as Mistress Quickly.
