  Solanio and Salerio discuss rumours that one of Antonio's ships has been wrecked. When Shylock arrives, the pair tell him of their part in helping Jessica elopement with Lorenzo. Shylocks tells them Antonio has abused him purely because he is Jewish, and swears he will collect his 'pound of flesh', saying 'it will feed my revenge'.
