Michael Boyd production 2011
RSC Artistic Director Michael Boyd directed the first new production in the transformed Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Jonathan Slinger played Macbeth following his acclaimed performances as Richard II and Richard III in the award-winning 2006 – 2008 Histories Cycle.
In what the Guardian called a 'wildly original production', the three witches were replaced by three children, who began the production flown onto the stage as hanging corpses.
