Greg Hicks (Lear) rehearses with Samantha Young (Cordelia).During rehearsals, the Deputy Stage Manager lists any props or costume items requested by the director which are sent to the rehearsal room from our stores by the RSC Props and Hire Wardrobe teams. Lear's cloak and Cordelia's crown seen in this photograph will have been chosen by the actors from a selection sent from the stores. Rehearsing with a few key items of costume helps the actors develop their characters.
