Blondes have more fun

November 15, 2011

iris Roberts goes blondI can now officially confirm that blondes do have more fun. I have arrived in Stratford and it is so great. I went into shock in tech when I first went on stage it was that great. Honestly it is so wonderful on that stage - I came on did my first line and said 'this is strange', I feel like I'm part of another world.

Our director is great because he is so so free with what we do, he lets us 'off the lead' so to speak and it is phenomenal. He has found a great balance with our company.

My boiler in my diggs is not working so I had no heating last night and it was FREEZING, hopefully it has been fixed, if not then I will put all the clothes I have brought with me on and roll myself into a little ball.

As you can see the blonde finally happened and my hairdresser can now sigh a huge sigh of relief and so can my hair follicles.

Myself and Flora are sharing a dressing room and she is very very very tidy, I am slightly aware that I will have to keep a lid on my natural tendency to whirlwind through my stuff and leave the place like a bomb has hit it.

Techs are long so I'm reading - am re-reading Will & Me by Dominic Dromgoole. It was that good.

This week I'm going to also brush up some of my monologues and work on new ones, as we have so much time sitting around, so it's nice to have something new to ponder.
