Henrik's print - inspired by old theatre posters
When the Shakespeare project came around, I was lost for ideas.
I spent some time looking at frontispieces of old editions, theatre curtains and the Globe theatre's stage, trying to find some inspiration. It was already December when we had the opportunity to see a technical rehearsal of The Winter's Tale at the Roundhouse. Chatting about the project afterwards, Ash, my studio partner just plain told me that I had it easy, that I'd do a version of the theatre posters I'd been photographing.
The answer, of course, had been hanging on my studio wall for months...
