...where the world is a stage and you are a player.
Huge thanks to all those who supported the live performances of Adelaide Road on May 14th. You can also enjoy Adelaide Road as a free iPhone app and/or through the website map which features recordings of all the poems/stories.

Here's another piece inspired by the experiences of the older people at the Charlie Ratchford centre. What has struck me most about working with them is their incredible gift for survival and the extraordinary lives they've led.

Here's another piece inspired by the older people at the Charlie Ratchford Centre, just off Adelaide Road. It's a real eye opener talking to people who experienced the reality of being evacuated as children during the war. It's made me realise that we have a rather sentimental, almost nostalgic, attitude to 'the spirit of the Blitz'. As one survivor put it to me, it was very much the luck of the draw.

I went back to the Charlie Ratchford Centre to work with the older people there. I was told fascinating stories about the blitz and the reality of being evacuated from London during the Second World War.

I went to the Media Sandbox Showcase in Bristol where I learnt about cutting edge digital possibilities that are being developed with the Pervasive Media studio. It made me very excited about the digital possibilities for Adelaide Road!

On Friday I went to the Charlie Ratchford Centre, a resource centre for Camden residents aged 60+ that is located just off Adelaide Road. Here's a poem I've written about the people I met and that I hope captures some of the spirit of the place.

I blow past chilled blocks of question marks, their windows icy with the pause of December. The end of the year spinning from the thread of a crane. Blue hoarding boards blank with future graffiti snapshots.

Here's two poems I've written inspired by going to see the RSC's productions of Julius Caesar and As You Like It at the Roundhouse.

For memory is neither friend nor foe
but just a path that runs in reverse.
And as a rule it's the one that plays the fool
who makes the best sat nav reader so set
aside your fear
