Doves in an unlikely setting

Dove's eyes in an unlikely setting

This is beautiful and funny.

So here we are just off Russell Square at the side of the Hotel Russell, in the heart of London's Bloomsbury. This beautiful building is covered in 'tea with milk terracotta'.

As we walked by this dove appeared and then seemed to show off his eyes for us and the ornate terracotta as the backdrop offsets it beautifully.

5:12 'His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.'

I suppose this sums up nicely the way in which I find the text so resonant with the life I lead today. Not that the text is everyday, but it connects and awakens the senses to the world.

This is something I find that I have developed as part of my practise over the years. Indeed some friends have their own 'affectionate' way of reminding me that sometimes talking about 'the light on a building' out loud in public can be a bit unusual for some people passing by!

A little like videoing a dove in central London!
