How to use this site

There are two ways to access material on this website.

First choose the play and go to the relevant home page. This will take you straight to the Key Ideas.

Then EITHER

1. Click on a key idea.

This allows you to follow your interest through content organised under this theme.

When you select an idea the first video clip will start automatically but you are always in control. You can pause at any time and locate your place in the scene by using the pop-up quotations on the progress bar beneath. You can choose different ways to view this clip to suit your purpose. For example:

- you can run it first with Questions Off to watch the scene for the theatre experience

- you can run it with Questions On to provoke discussion

Each question provokes a series of responses from the list on the right (indicated by an arrow). You can pause for discussion and then hear what the director, actors and Company members have to say, or you can dip into these other boxes at any time you like.

OR

2. Use the top bar navigation.

This allows you to follow a particular area of study.
You will find a series of videos, still images and textual information.

The site encourages free investigation. The video clips should stimulate many approaches and ideas. These Teachers pages are an additional guide to suggest activities and structures. On the next pages you will find a range of supporting documents of all kinds for you to download and keep.
