In September 2010 we held our first Young People's Shakespeare (YPS) Week which saw 5,000 young people visiting The Courtyard Theatre, staffed by a Front of House team of students from Stratford College, to see our productions of Hamlet and The Comedy of Errors. The week also featured members of our Ensemble running after show events and theatre workshops for children, directing street theatre and running a project around The Tempest for children with special needs. We filmed the events of YPS Week with actors Tunji Kasim and Noma Dumezweni as our presenters reporting from the YPS studio and on location. This short film shares some of the highlights of the week's filming.

In January 2010, the RSC's new version of Hamlet, created especially for young people, directed by RSC/CAPITAL International Playwright in Residence Tarell Alvin McCraney and edited by Tarell and Bijan Sheibani opened with a two week tour to London primary and secondary schools.
Performed by members of the RSC Ensemble, the production ran for 70 minutes and each performance was followed by a workshop delivered for the audience by the company. From May 2010 to September 2010 the production transferred to The Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon.
