Introducing The Histories at KS2

Richard II

Tuesday 22 October 2013, 10am-4pm
The Clore Learning Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon

Ideal for: All teachers at KS2, particularly those with responsibility for/interest in drama and literacy.

This one day course will give you plenty of practical ideas for introducing some of the history plays at Key Stage 2. Participants will begin by looking at Richard II and then move on to Henry V to experience how active approaches to the text can make the stories, their language and characters, accessible, enjoyable and memorable.

You will also see how these early experiences of Shakespeare can connect across the primary curriculum with explicit links to history and writing.
