Text and Voice Masterclass: Reading the Score
Friday 8 - Saturday 9 November 2013, 10am-4pm
The Clore Learning Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon
Ideal for: Drama, Performing Arts and English teachers looking to extend and challenge their students.
Using Richard II as a starting point, this course is designed to give participants an immersive experience of our text and voice work. It explores the kind of process actors undertake as they begin to understand and own Shakespeare's language.
Over the course of the two days participants will explore the language physically and vocally, uncovering the structures, sounds, rhythms and rhetoric of the language that help actors unlock its meaning.
The course will be led by freelance Text and Voice Coach Alison Bomber and other members of our Voice and Movement Departments.
£285 (£260 RSC Education Members)
Includes a ticket to the Friday evening performance of Richard II
