Develop confidence. Inspire creativity. Improve attainment.

'Innovative and instantly useable'

Teaching Shakespeare is a new online CPD for teachers. It's a unique opportunity for you to develop your career with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the University of Warwick. Through active approaches that mirror the RSC's rehearsal room process – underpinned by evidence-based research at the University of Warwick – you can give your students a whole new world of learning.

For secondary English and Drama teachers, and primary teachers specialising in Literacy development, Teaching Shakespeare can help you to inspire your students, transform the way they approach Shakespeare's plays and encourage them to become more ambitious in their learning. Plus, at each stage of your Teaching Shakespeare journey you can get qualifications accredited by the University of Warwick.

At the heart of the Teaching Shakespeare programme is an online learning platform which you can use in two different ways:

1. Site licence
A school site licence that gives you 12 months access to the platform for an unlimited number of users - you'll have access to a wide range of self-study materials, including model activities and interviews with RSC practitioners and academics at the University of Warwick.

2. Postgraduate Award in the Teaching of Shakespeare (Online)
A structured 25-week course in which tutors at the RSC and the University of Warwick guide you through The Essentials Online platform, providing feedback, support and additional online seminars.

If you want to explore more active approaches to Shakespeare through live performance, you can go further by enrolling on accredited intensive five-day course in Stratford-upon-Avon. You can also continue to an MA in the Advanced Teaching of Shakespeare run by the University of Warwick.

Take a tour of the online learning platform at www.teachingshakespeare.co.uk
